About Me

My name is Terri Kenworthy. I live in Outer Mongolia with my amazing husband, George, and our two smart and beautiful children, Jorja (4) and Joseph (3). I am starting this blog as I embark on perhaps the biggest adventure of my life (yes, even bigger than moving to Mongolia!) – homeschooling our two children.

Hi Terri! My husband and I have joined the ReachGlobal staff & are doing Ministry Partnership Development now, with plans to go to Africa. I’m homeschooling our kids too & would love to follow your blog but couldn’t figure out how.. is there a way to sign in my email that I don’t see?

    • Hi Cathy, yes there is. When you’re viewing my site, there should be a small icon down in the bottom right-hand corner (you may have to scroll down to the bottom of the page) that says “follow” with a little + sign. If you click that it will ask you to enter your e-mail address. I took a glance at your blog as well and it looks very interesting – I can see that your heart is for the people of Africa. Thank you for posting various ways that people can get involved – very informative and inspiring.

Hi Terri – I was reading your newsletters and followed the link to your blog. I thorough enjoy your writing and the photos of The children. Yes, mine are pretty much grown up now, but I’m thinking what a great encouragement this must be to other moms out there. Thank you for taking the time to share such wonderful moments. I’m praying that you will continue to have such joy in your investment in these little lives and that you will be blessed with boundless creativity and insight into how they learn best. – Amy. 🙂

    • Thanks so much for the encouragement! I consider it a real privelege to be able to spend so much time with my children. I know that not everybody has the same opportunity so I try not to take it for granted.

    Hi,
I just wanted to say hi and let you know that I love your blog and would like to nominate you for a Liebster Award.
I know what you are thinking… a what?!? That was my reaction too. It’s one of those viral awards that someone gives you and you then can chose to nominate people. Here is a link to a post http://sliceofshanghai.wordpress.com/2012/12/30/liebster-award/ I wrote which includes the ‘to dos’ like answering a series of questions. Take part or don’t. In any event, you know at least that you have a fan over here. Wishing you all the best for 2013! Fingers crossed!

  5. Mongolia? I had no idea while following your letter of the week ideas. I guess I better get a better look around and see if you shared how you began your journey there! fascinating…

    • I haven’t really shared much about how exactly we ended up here . . . maybe someday. I just started this blog in September as a way to share what we’re up to with family back home, and also to get to know some other homeschoolers and have a ‘virtual support group’.
